Required documentation

Documentation required to arrange the release of vehicles​:
VERY IMPORTANT: If the documentation indicated below is inside the vehicle, do not forget to collect it first, given that it must be submitted at the cash desk to arrange the release of the vehicle. We will then provide you with a release sheet that must be submitted along with your ID document 24 hours in advance so that we can proceed to hand over the vehicle.

Moreover, in cases of theft, lack of documentation, breathalyser® or drug tests, vehicles held in custody, non-payment of State Administration Tax Duties (LIE), false number plates, impounded vehicles, mini-bikes and other special cases, you must contact the Customer Service Office where you will be informed of the particulars of your case.

Vehicles towed because they were abandoned on public roads will be deposited at the Mediodía 2 pound. To withdraw them, it will be necessary to present the appropriate authorisation from the Subdirección General de Régimen Jurídico y Autorizaciones (Deputy General Directorate for Legal Matters and Authorisations).

2. 1st. If the person who is requesting release of the vehicle is the OWNER, the following documentation must be submitted:
   1. Original vehicle documentationt: National ID or Driving Licence or Passport or Foreign Resident's ID.
   2. Documentación original del vehículo: road-worthiness certificate and currently-valid vehicle registration certificate or receipt issued by the competent administrative body.
   3.  
3. 2nd. If the person who is requesting release of the vehicle is NOT the OWNER, the following documentation must be submitted:
   1. Original vehicle documentation: road-worthiness certificate and currently-valid vehicle registration certificate or receipt issued by the competent administrative body.
   2. Original authorisation signed by the vehicle owner.
   3. Photocopy of the National ID of the owner or of the owner's Driving Licence or Foreign Resident's ID.
   4. Original document: National ID or Driving Licence or Passport or Foreign Resident's ID of the authorised person.
   5.  
4. 3rd. If the owner of the vehicle is a LEGAL ENTITY, the person collecting the vehicle must submit:
   1. Original deed or authenticated copy of the incorporation of the company and original or authenticated copy of the power of attorney or original document of the company bearing its signature and seal, in which the person collecting the vehicle is granted express authorisation to do so along with a photocopy of the National ID of the person signing the certificate.
   2. Original document: National ID or Driving Licence or Passport or Foreign Resident's ID of the power of attorney holder or authorised person.
   3. Vehicle documentation: road-worthiness certificate and original vehicle registration certificate or original receipt issued by the competent administrative body in force.

5. 4th. If the person collecting the vehicle is a RENTING OR LEASING COMPANY, the person collecting the vehicle must submit:
   1. Original currently valid leasing contract or certified photocopy of the same.
   2. Original document: National ID or Driving Licence or Passport or Foreign Resident's ID of the person collecting the vehicle.
   3. Original vehicle documentation: road-worthiness certificate and currently-valid vehicle registration certificate or receipt issued by the competent administrative body.
   4. In the case of an authorised person: Original authorisation signed by the holder (individual) of the contract with a photocopy of the said person's National ID (or Driving Licence or Passport or Foreign Resident's ID), or original document of the company holding the contract with its signature and seal, in which the person collecting the vehicle is granted express authorisation to do so.
   5.  
6. 5th. If the owner of the vehicle is a MINOR OR INCAPACITATED, the person collecting the vehicle must submit:
   1. Original vehicle documentation: road-worthiness certificate and currently-valid vehicle registration certificate or receipt issued by the competent administrative body.
   2. Original document: National ID Document (DNI) or Driving Licence or Passport or Foreign Resident Permit of the father, mother or legal guardian.
   3. Original document accrediting the capacity in which they are acting: "Libro de Familia (official Spanish family record) and Court Ruling and National ID Document (DNI).
7.  
   6th. If the owner of the vehicle is DECEASED, the person collecting the vehicle must submit:
   1. Documentación original del vehículo: ficha técnica y permiso de circulación o justificante emitido por gestor administrativo colegiado en vigor.
   2. Documento original: DNI o Permiso de Conducción o Pasaporte.
   3. En caso de haber testamento
      1. -Certificado de Defunción del titular del vehículo.
      2. -Testamento acompañado del Certificado de Últimas Voluntades.
      3. -Autorización firmada por todos los herederos, con copia del DNI de los mismos.
   4. En caso de no haber testamento
      1. -Certificado de Defunción del titular del vehículo.
      2. -Certificado de Últimas Voluntades.
      3. -Declaración de herederos, en caso de tenerla, o Libro de Familia.
      4. -Autorización firmada por todos los herederos, con copia del DNI de los mismos

9. AUTHORISATIONS TO THIRD PARTIES: The person authorised to collect the vehicle can in turn authorise the collection of the vehicle by a third party, who must submit:
   1. Original deed or certified copy of the incorporation of the company and of the power of attorney or original document of the company bearing its signature and seal in case of a LEGAL ENTITY or RENTING or LEASING contracts.
   2. Express authorisation for and photocopy of the National ID of the authorised person, or equivalent document.
   3. Original ID documentation of third party who goes to collect the vehicle.
