STARS (Sustainable Travel Recognition and Accreditation for Schools)
2. This is a project under the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme aimed at designing an action programme to promote cyclist mobility at school centres and to achieve a change in the way children commute to and from school. The goal is to get at least 5% of the trips now done by car to be done by bike.
MOVEUS (ICT Cloud-Based Platform and Mobility Services: Available, Universal and Safe for all Users)
This project under the Seventh Framework Programme consists of the design, implementation, piloting, evaluation, dissemination and exploitation of new ICT tools for smart mobility within the 'Smart Cities' context. The project aims to change the mobility habits of European users by means of boosting mobility services by offering a smarter use of its ITS resources, as well as by way of the integration of ICT, thus providing users with customised travel services based on an analysis of smart data at the top of a cloud infrastructure in the cities of Madrid, Tampere and Genoa.
COSMOS (Cultivate Resilient Smart Objetcs For Sustainable City Applications)
This project under the Seventh Framework Programme aims to improve the sustainability of 'Smart City' applications by enabling systems based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to reach their maximum potential.
FREVUE (Freight Electric Vehicles in Urban Europe)
This project under the Seventh Framework Programme aims to demonstrate the feasibility of electric vehicles to distribute goods in cities. It involves the set-up of a consolidated loading centre for last-mile distribution at the old Legazpi fruit and vegetable market.
CITYMOBIL2 (Cities Demonstrating Automated Road Passenger Transport)
This project under the Seventh Framework Programme aims to create an experimental platform for automatic transport systems by road, carrying out several pilot programmes in different European city environments. EMT is participating in the Reference Group. This reference group provides a forum for its members to attain a better understanding of automated transport systems and to share their points of view with CityMobil2 partners.
IKAAS (Intelligent Knowledge as a Service)
This project under the H2020 Programme consists of developing a secure 'Smart City' platform based on Big Data and cloud operations to retrieve information from different Internet of Things' (IoT) sensors. In the case of EMT, pollen and pollution sensors are to be fitted to buses to obtain reference information in real time.
ELIPTIC (Electrification of Public Transport in Cities
This is a project under the H2020 Programme for electrifying public transport in the 11 participating cities: Barcelona, Bremen, Brussels, Eberswalde, Gdynia, Lanciano, Leipzig, London, Oberhausen, Szeged and Warsaw. EMT has been accepted to participate in the knowledge transfer working group by means of technical visits.
NEW BUS FUEL
2. EMT participates, along with the companies, Abengoa and QI Energy, in the European project entitled “Engineering Studies for Large Scale Bus Refuelling”. Given EMT experience in European hydrogen-powered bus projects (e.g.: HYFLEET CUTE), the project is to consist of the study of the infrastructure required for the refuelling, running and maintenance of a fleet of hydrogen buses on a large scale.
PREVIOUS PROJECTS
HyFLEET:CUTE
For nearly 10 years, the HyFLEET:CUTE project represented the beginning of the hydrogen era for transport operator fleets.
RECODRIVE
EMT collaborated with the company BESEL S.A. in the conducting of a series of tests done by applying efficient driving techniques. EMT received ECO-Fleet recognition on meeting the criteria marked out by this project.
