This already completed project consisted of replacing fluorescent luminaires and sodium vapour projectors with LED-type luminaires in the San Epifanio and Avenida de Portugal resident and public car parks and in the Paseo Imperial and Mediodía II and III crane bases. The 1,456 fluorescent and sodium vapour luminaires consumed approximately 186,700 kW/year and their replacement with LED technology luminaires will allow an expected saving of 80,515 kW/year. This project enables compliance with the requirements established in the EU Directive 2018/44 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 30 May 2016, as well as with the objectives of the EMT's Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan for public infrastructures, within the "Air Quality and Climate Change Strategy of the Community of Madrid 2013-2020" (Blue + Plan). The European Regional Development Fund is co-financing this project with €191,811.08.
